AerixWants to be a pirate. Is played by dirsian. DescriptionShe stands halfway between five and six feet. Her face is shaded by an exhausted tricorne hat, the moldy brown of driftwood. Out from under the wreckage is visible a tongues of fiery auburn hair, hints of the conflagration obscured. Her eyes are like sunflowers, murky green leaves frame the palest orange petals that unfurl outward from her dark pupils. Her skin shows evidence of a life lived outdoors, and its texture betrays her age. It's unblemished smoothness announces that she is currently straddled between the titles of 'girl' and 'woman'. Met on the road, she would most likely be clad in a simple bleach white shirt, which may be missing a button or two, or have a tear in it here or there. Through its wounds you can see a fine chain mail of high quality, kept well maintained and hardly worn at all. Simple leather gauntlets present well cleaned fingertips to the observant onlooker. A pair of sandy brown pants reach from the black belt adorning her hips into her worn boots. A patchwork backpack droops sadly over her back, struggling to say something but never able to overpower the leather that straps it shut. Currency137g BackgroundAerix was born of minor pirate Kandahar, a barmaid, and a few too many bottles of rum, depending on who you ask. Her mother mother raised her as best she could in the noisy, dirty tavern where she worked. At least for a few years, that is, before Kandahar came back, down on his luck, his boat, crew, and small fortune all gone. Here he found out about Aerix and decided to settle down. Here Aerix's mother passed her on to Kandahar and returned unburdened to her simple job. Kandahar raised Aerix significantly differently from her mother. Whereas her mother was more of a passive parent, Kandahar raised her actively, pushing her every day to be faster, tougher, and smarter than before. He taught her simple offense and defense, and languages from across many seas. And he wouldn't have been a proper father, or so he claimed, if he hadn't taught her "the less reputable arts." Aerix was particularly skilled in the art of sweet talking visiting adventurers out of a few coins, and when that failed, she was more than proficient in the art of borrowing without permission and the art of running very very quickly. After a good, long day's "work," the father and daughter would lie down in their little cozy hovel and Kandahar would wistfully regale Aerix with tales of his exploits back when his was a name to be feared - or at least wary of. These days were carefree and comprised the majority of Aerix's childhood. It was rather jarring, then, when Aerix, recently turned 15, came home to find her father gone, with naught but a carefully handwritten note and his trusty old cutlass left behind. It read something about how his heart had longed for the sea and could no longer be denied, and a likely unfulfillable promise that he would see her again. Aerix has since cast off into the world, in the hopes of proving herself and finding her father. NotesI automatically declare Dodge on the person with whom I am currently engaged in combat with. If I am in combat with multiple opponents, it will be with the person who I attack first. Any of these scenarios is overridden should I manually declare a Dodge target. Back to Player Characters |
